This is a cautionary tale from Cash/Money Buyers. It has to do with two piano keyboards, each owned by different owners that wanted to sell their item fast for cash by finding a local buyer in their area. As luck would have it, their perspective keyboards were marked with permanent maker which may make finding a buyer harder, or selling the item for cash garner less than expected.
Piano keyboard owner #1 had an over zealous teacher that wrote the notes on the keyboard without giving hesitation to how much value the item would be worth when trying to sell it for fast cash. Or at least they didn't care.
Piano keyboard owner #2 had an unfortunate accident when a visiting relative let their toddler have a sharpie, which resulted in scribble on the ivory keyboard. The relative, knowing that #2 needed to sell the keyboard for fast money, immediately reacted and tried to wipe the keys off with oily nail polish remover. At that point, #2 still had no idea that their keyboard would now sell for considerably less money than a pristine item.
Meanwhile, owner #1 was researching the internet for ways in which to clean up the permanent maker on the keyboard so they can sell it for a fair price and get cash right away. What owner #1 found was that rubbing alcohol would easily remove the marker and leave the keyboard in great condition for a satisfied buyer to purchase with cash money on the spot.
The moral of the story is that you need to do your homework if you want to sell anything for cash and get the best price for your item. Cleaning up your item to sell for cash, and doing it right, is one way to ensure you will sell your item for the most cash you can get in a fair exchange.
It's a win/win for buyer and seller!
